Introduction

With the parcel tracking function, you can enter the corresponding tracking code for parcels sent and make this available to the customer.

This function is included in the PRO subscription.

Display for the customer

In the order overview in the customer area under ‘Orders’, the customer will see a link called ‘Track shipment online’. This appears if a tracking number has been entered and the defined tracking period has not yet expired. Clicking on the link opens a new window. A tracking request is then sent to the specified logistics partner.

Enter tracking numbers

The assignment of tracking numbers is called up via “Shop administration” → “Customers/Orders” → “Order tracking”. The list of orders that have not yet been assigned a tracking number is displayed.

The shipper (logistics partner) is selected for each order and the tracking number (or the last digits of the tracking number) are entered.

In the top line of the editing screen, the list display can be changed so that orders with an assigned tracking number are displayed. The maximum number of data records displayed can be defined in the input field “Number”.

There is also a direct input option in the order view in customer management ‘“Enter tracking code” or the button for displaying the tracking number in the same place.

Manage senders

To access the editing screen for managing consignors, click on “Customers/Orders” → “Order tracking” → “Manage consignors” in the tracking number entry screen. The list of existing senders is then displayed. Each consignor can be activated and prioritised individually, so only the active consignors are displayed.

  • ID: Internal ID of the shipper, required for the connection to ERP software

  • Name: Name of the shipper (e.g. Post, DHL, DPD, etc.)

  • Tracking no. prefix: Enter a constant part of the tracking no. (start), the remaining numbers are recognised automatically

  • Fill character for automatic addition to the tracking number

  • Length: Number of characters to which the tracking number is added

  • Tracking duration: Number of days after dispatch on which a tracking request is possible. 0 → no time restriction for tracking requests.

  • Priority: Display priority for the selection list (1 → highest)

Subscriptions

  1. click on Subscriptions

  2. if you do not have the PRO version, click on “CHANGE”

  3. you will now find the function under “Customers/Orders” → “Order tracking”
