Introduction

In this guide, we explain how you can adjust the order of items in the online shop manually or automatically. This allows you to determine which items your customers should see first.

Automatic article sorting

You can set the automatic sorting of articles in the shop administration under “Settings” → “General” → “Shop configuration” → “Article sorting”.

You will find the following options in the view:

  • Standard: Select the sorting criterion here according to which items should be displayed by default, unless the customer makes their own selection.

  • Active: Specify whether the respective sorting option should be available and selectable in the frontend.

  • Sorting criteria: The following criteria are available to you:

  • Name

  • Popularity

  • Lowest price

  • Highest price

  • Novelties

  • Item number

  • weight

  • Rating (descending)

For certain criteria, additional settings can be made under “Configuration”:

  • Designation: Selection between “Name “ or ”Item number + name”.

  • Popularity: Selection of the time period from which the popularity data should originate - e.g. last month, last 2 months, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months.

  • Novelties: Here you can select whether the sorting should take place according to the “Creation date “ or the ”Date of last change”.

Manual article sorting

For the sorting to take effect, the criterion “Description (item no., name)" must be selected for both item sorting and preselection.

To specify the order of the items, proceed as follows

  1. navigate to “Assortment” → “Sorting” → “Item sorting”.
  2. select the desired category
  3. drag and drop the items into the desired order. To do this, click on the small symbol to the left of the item image, hold down the mouse button and move the item to the desired position.

This sorting is also taken into account in the following areas:

  • When displaying multi-variants
  • When displaying features within articles
  • As well as in the article filters in the shop.
