Introduction
With the cross-selling module, your 21.Commerce web shop can analyse which items are frequently purchased together and automatically generate purchase recommendations for your customers.
In this guide, you will learn how to set up and configure the module.

Configuring the cross-selling module
Required to get started
- 21.Shop administration access
- E-Commerce Plus add-on
Step 1: Open the module settings

In the shop administration, go to Settings → Shop configuration → Operations.

The following actions are available:
- Calculate cross-selling recommendations: Evaluation of all orders to determine purchase recommendations. Recommended after module integration if orders already exist.
- Delete cross-selling recommendations: All previous purchase recommendations are deleted.
Step 2: Additional system settings

Go to Settings → General → System Configuration.

Specify whether:
- Linked optional items should also be displayed when adding an item to the shopping basket.
- Cross-selling items can be added directly to the shopping cart.
Step 3: Display of purchase recommendations
- Purchase recommendations are displayed for each item.
- The recommendations are based on the order data of other customers (‘Customers who bought this item also bought…’).
- Recommendations are automatically updated after each order is completed.
