Introduction

Using the blog module, you can post blog entries on your online shop. Your customers can view all these entries and stay top informed. This guide explains how to install the module and create an entry.

Benefits

  • More visibility: Blogs improve ranking in search engines and thus bring more visitors to the shop.
  • Build expert status: With helpful content, you show competence and gain trust from your customers.
  • Strengthen customer loyalty: Interesting entries motivate customers to visit again and again and engage with your brand.
  • Support product sales: Blog articles can explain products, provide application tips or offer inspiration – this promotes sales.

Configuration

Required to start

To have the blog module available, you need the E-Commerce Plus Add-on.

Step 1: Install module

You can find the module in the shop administration under “Modules” → “Module management” → “Not yet installed modules”. Click on “Blog” and select “activate” and then “Manage module”.

Step 2: Activate and use module

Activate the module in the module administration by checking the “Activation” box. You can also set up blog categories here. These categories are also displayed on the customer side as soon as a blog entry is in this category.

Step 3: Create blog content

You create the blog itself under “Content” → “Blog”. You can create a new blog by determining the title for the page at the top left and then clicking “Create”, or edit an existing entry via the pencil icon.

If you click on the gear icon, you can also assign the blog entry to a previously created blog category.

Step 4: Publish content

After you have created the entry, switch to “Content” → “Menu”. Under “Add entries” → “Blog” select which entry should be linked where. There is also the option to add the entire blog overview.

Customer side

If you have made the settings, you can click on the shopping cart icon at the top right in the shop administration to see what the blog looks like on the customer side and where it is linked.

With this module, you can always keep your customers up to date.
