Introduction

In this guide you will find various questions and answers on the subject of 21. system settings

How can I edit my shop information?

You can edit your shop information under Shop settings > General settings.

Here you have the option of editing your own address or activating VAT.

You can also enter the e-mail address for orders or the contact details. In the Shop configuration tab, you can edit your unit of measurement, item sorting or cookie warning, among other things. You can also switch to retailer mode (closed B2B system) in this screen.

Under the Edit article tab, you will find the configuration of the number of option fields or the number of variation groups. This screen relates exclusively to your articles.

In the Order process tab, you define the order steps in your shop. For example, whether the names of the individual steps should be shown or displayed differently.

You can customise the texts for these individual items under the Customer information / Cancellation / GTC tab. For example, you can define your general terms and conditions here.

Where can I edit my VAT number?

You can edit your VAT number under Settings > General. You can enter or change your VAT number in the Shop operator / VAT grid.

How can I add further payment methods to my shop?

You can manage your payment methods under Settings > General > Payment methods tab.

The following options are included as standard:

Prepayment Invoice Direct debit Cash on delivery Payment on collection

Simply activate and save the desired payment methods using the checkbox.

To be able to offer credit card payments or payments via TWINT, you must first conclude payment contracts with Worldline. After successful completion, you will receive access data for your backend. As soon as you have these, you can add your payment methods under General> Payment methods. You also need to configure the Saferpay JSON module. You can find this in the module administration.

Where can I add the cancellation policy?

You can create or add your own cancellation policy via the System settings -> General settings -> Customer info/cancellation/AGB tab.

Here you can also make further settings, such as whether or not the cancellation policy should be sent with the email.

Where can I add VAT rates?

You can add VAT rates via the shop settings > VAT.

To do this, simply select the Define VAT rates button and continue to define and save rates. Please note that the VAT must be stored either on the respective categories or the corresponding articles.

You can assign a VAT rate to an article in article editing.

Customer attributes

All available customer attributes are displayed in the System settings > Customer attributes. Here you can select the attributes that you do not want to display by unchecking the checkbox. Finally, save. By ticking the “Check” box, you can specify that these attributes are mandatory fields.

You cannot hide the mandatory attributes.

Mandatory attributes are

  • First name
  • Surname
  • Company name
  • Company UID
  • Street address
  • House number
  • Town
  • E-mail address

In addition to the existing customer attributes, you can define additional attributes of your choice. Click on Localisation editor to define the name or designation for your attribute.

Please note that not all fields may be used as mandatory fields. It can also be very tedious for your customers to have to fill in too many mandatory fields.
