Parent- und Subartikel

Introduction

If you not only have different colours of an article, but also sizes or similar, we have the solution for you here.

In this example we assume a jumper which has several sizes and colours.

First you have to enter the parent article, please note that the price must be -1!

In the parent article you then have to go to the variations (sub-articles), which could look like this: The variant that determines the price is the article name and in this case the colour is the sub-article group.

We have 3 sizes per jumper. With 2 colours, this would be 6 sub-items that need to be recorded. Each size is a sub-item and you can store the colour (sub-item group) on it. However, you can only enter one colour per size, which is why you have to enter the sizes twice.

In order for it to be displayed correctly in the shop, the display type must be changed to ‘Dropdown grouped’.

You can change the ‘Selection’ fields as follows:

Once you have opened the settings, you can enter ‘Ctrl+F’ to open the search and enter ‘Subarticle’, you should then be taken directly to the correct fields, which you can change as required.
